# What is LinCal?

> Learn what LinCal is and how it helps you plan Linear issues on a calendar.

It helps you plan and reschedule issues faster by showing due-dated work in a weekly calendar layout. Instead of switching between list views and issue details, you can manage work directly on the calendar.

## What you can do with LinCal

* See your Linear issues by due date
* Filter by team, project, state, assignee, labels, and cycles
* Drag and drop tasks to reschedule instantly
* Create new tasks directly from a day cell
* Update task properties and status from task cards
* Share your current calendar view with teammates

## How LinCal works with Linear

LinCal is built on top of Linear data.
When you create, edit, move, or update tasks in LinCal, those changes sync back to Linear.
